In their latest report, we feel that Gartner warns that CAASMs lacking extended capabilities will soon be obsolete. Forward-looking CAASM vendors must:
- Enhance current capabilities to improve exposure management, focusing on centralized attack surface visibility and prioritization.
- Expand CAASM by integrating features like automated security control assessment (ASCA).
- Aim to play a more central role in exposure management programs.
