What is CAASM, and how does it differ from Attack Surface Management (ASM)?

CAASM, or Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management, is an emerging technology area that enables security teams to overcome asset visibility and exposure challenges. It allows organizations to see all the assets (internal and external), primarily through API integrations with existing tools, query consolidated data, identify the scope of vulnerabilities and gaps in security controls and remediate issues.
